The Essence of Ancient Practices
Breath, sound, movement and relating with increased body awareness applied to the individual and collective challenges of the modern world.
You will learn an integrative circular breathing method that, combined with detailed body awareness, gives you access to your self at deeper and more subtle levels. Beautifully and somewhat paradoxically - its power lies in its gentleness.
Increased body awareness and increased capacity to be OK with what you are feeling is a powerful path to lower your baseline level of stress (this is the stress that you have gotten so used to that it has become unconscious; an integrated part of your personality structure). Lowering your stress in this specifically embodied way is also a root cause solution to heal trauma, expand consciousness and increase health and vitality in every cell of your organism.
Viewed like this, the new version of yourself is not something you achieve necessarily by adding and doing more but by coming into a deeper state of relaxation and safety so your body's innate intelligence is allowed to self-organize towards greater health and wholeness.
It may sound banal but to fundamentally feel more at peace in your own body lets every cell in your body go from survival mode to growth mode, shifting your whole experience of being you; boosting your capacity to be open and receptive to the world around you so you can more fully and freely express, connect and enjoy this life.
Awareness, Intensity And Capacity
One could argue that we are waking up and realizing the limitations (and sometimes harm!) of pharmaceuticals and our modern way of living busy, productive lives. We live in a time where plant medicines, substances and certain practices that open us up, show us radically different aspects of reality and increase awareness very fast are becoming more and more common.
An ancient piece of wisdom can easily be overlooked: If you only increase awareness and intensity you risk overloading your nervous system, pushing you in the direction of more and more reactivity and anxiety and effectively making your healing even more elusive.
This retreat is unique and specifically designed to equip you with the skills and perspective that while increasing awareness and insight, you simultaneously increase your capacity to handle more intensity; your capacity to be OK with what you are becoming aware of. Indeed, on all levels: physically, emotionally, psychologically, spiritually.
The main breathwork meditation practice in this retreat can be applied to any other practice, substance-supported work, or daily life interactions to maintain embodied groundedness and equanimity and to work within your 'window of tolerance'. This is ancient wisdom in its timeless value.
Safety In Connection
Everyday in the retreat we explore the relational field, in pairs, small groups or collectively. We bring increased body awareness and increased curiosity and receptivity of what it's like to be in connection, moment to moment.
As opposed to coming with tips, assumptions and intellectual reflections and concepts, we reveal the present moment impact we have on each other; continually being curious of how our experience subtly shifts.
Your experience of your nervous system's perception of safety and unsafety in connection increases dramatically. And as we feel seen and heard at deeper levels, we start accessing our unique wisdom and the life force within us that longs to be felt and spontaneously and authentically expressed. This 'force' within us that we, likely very early in life, created behavioral mechanisms to suppress, block and distract ourselves from as we didn't feel safe enough with out caregivers. This 'force' is our vitality; our joy; our capacity to lead, love and be in awe of the richness and beauty around us.
Since our core wounds usually happened in connection - it is also in connection that we find high-impact potential for transformation, waiting to be explored, excavated and harnessed.
The retreat is held by the knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate and playful facilitator Robbin van der Crussen.


Instill in yourself a thorough understanding, the practical skill, and a deeply felt inspiration for how to use your breath and body awareness to meet life's inevitable challenges as exciting opportunities to wake up to more of your natural capacity for health, love, laughter, leadership, connection and creativity
Every day starts with a morning practice, consisting of concentration, movement, breathing and relaxation to prepare your mind, body and spirit for the main work of the day, which is an in-depth breathwork session.
The main session includes a lesson explaining the underlying concepts, practical techniques, physiological and philosophical aspects of the practice, empowering you to easily implement the practice when you come back home.
In the afternoons we dance, play, write, sing, share and relate to integrate and deepen our understanding and experience of the healing power of breath and body awareness, and connect more deeply with the group as a whole.

A WORD OF NOTICE
This is an intense and in-depth retreat. It is open to all and does not require any previous experience with breathwork.
Nevertheless it requires your willingness and openness to face new and unknown aspects of yourself.
You are expected to join the whole program, as it is built up with a natural progression from session to session, and as the dynamics and feeling of safety within the group depends on the full commitment of all participants.
While extensive time is dedicated to relating and sharing, this retreat is not a forum for lengthy intellectual discussions. This retreat instead focuses on experiential and embodied nervous system resiliency work.
You are expected to strictly adhere to silent hours (20.00-10.00) as this is an important aspect of the individual and collective process.

A facebook group for carpooling etc will be set up.
Bus 550 Enebakk Kirke leaves every hour and takes one hour from Oslo S to stop Bekkevold in Ytre Enebakk.
NB! Do NOT take bus 505 Drøbak via TusenFryd which also has a stop called Bekkevold.
